If you are good lawyer, doctor, engineer, legislator or even president and CEO of a country or
company, you can succeed vocationally very well without a good home, but not as a pastor. If
you want to really impact your community, country and your world, the place to start is in your
home. Our ministry will amount to nothing outside, if we have no good home life. This was the
value that Joshua brought into leadership.

Well, seeing the title of this book, someone might ask, ‘another book on Money? Yes!’. I am writing this book due to the heavy burden and promptings of the Holy Spirit of God in my heart.
On one hand, many pastors and Christian leaders have written and published books on finance, wealth creation, how to be a millionaire and material prosperity in the last few years. Some
are even holding seminars on finance, money, investment and wealth creation on regular basis, both on the radio and television. However, majority of their teachings are lopsided
and tended only to materialism, gain and profit, with the exception of very few of them.

The Lord desires and commands a growing church. He doesn’t want stagnant, sick, sindominated,
crisis ridden and worldly church. He wants a church that is growing,
increasing, expanding, multiplying and extending to all corners of the earth. Eph. 4:16.
It’s too alarming to know that many churches are not fulfilling the desire of God.
Is your church a growing church? Are you stagnant or staggering? What is your annual
growth rate? How many comes in or goes out in the last few years.

It is without doubt that so many authors have taken it upon themselves to write about the purpose of life. So many of these publications abound in the market and many people have benefited from reading them. With this fact on the ground, you may still ask, why the need for this one again?

Of course, we all know that our churches are not necessarily His church. Many of us have
built sick and diseased churches that are far from what He had in mind when He says; “...I
will build my church.” (Matt 16:18) If we summarize all that the Spirit of Jesus said to the
churches then, we shall hear what He is still saying to the churches today. Do you have ear
to hear what the Spirit of Jesus is saying to the churches today?

Pastoral calling is crucial to the perpetuation of the gospel in the world. However, the
pastoral ministry has become a laughing stock in the society today due to compromise on
the part of Church leaders. Too many things are happening that had and is still undermining
the pastoral ministry. Today, every Dick and Harry, Tom and Jerry answers the name
‘Pastor’ and majority are ignorant of the functions of pastoral ministry.
